Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started

Most standard patio installations take between 2 and 5 days depending on the size, materials, and complexity. We'll give you a clear timeframe when we quote, and we'll keep you updated throughout the project.
Yes — all our quotes are completely free and carry no obligation. We'll visit your property, measure up, discuss your requirements, and provide a detailed written quote. There's no pressure and no commitment until you're happy.
Yes. GG International holds full public liability insurance. We're happy to provide proof of insurance on request before any work begins.
No — we never subcontract your job to other tradespeople. The same team that quotes your project will carry out all the work. This means consistent quality and a clear point of contact throughout.
We work with a wide range of quality materials including natural stone (Indian sandstone, slate, limestone), porcelain, concrete block paving, timber decking, composite decking, and more. We'll recommend the best material for your budget and use case.
Generally, patios and rear garden work don't require planning permission. Driveways over a certain size using non-permeable materials may require permission, but using permeable materials (like gravel or certain block paving) usually avoids this. We'll advise you during your quote visit.
We'll walk you through everything you need to do before we arrive. Typically this means clearing the area of garden furniture and ensuring we have access. We handle all excavation, disposal of waste materials, and the full installation.
We're based in Welling (DA16) and serve Kent and South East London — including Bexley, Dartford, Gravesend, Bromley, Sevenoaks, Maidstone, Chatham, and more. See our Areas We Cover page for the full list, or just ask if you're not sure.
Most of our work can continue through autumn and winter. We avoid laying certain materials (like mortar-bedded slabs) during frost or heavy rain as this affects quality. If weather causes delays, we'll communicate clearly and reschedule where necessary.
We typically take a deposit on confirmation of booking, with the balance due on completion. Payment terms are clearly outlined in your written quote. We accept bank transfer and discuss all payment details upfront — no surprises.
